Design tips for business card designs incorporating bitmaps
What is a Bitmap? Bitmaps are defined as a regular rectangular mesh of cells called pixels, each pixel containing a color value. They are characterized by only two parameters, the number of pixels and the information content (color depth) per pixel. There are other attributes that are applied to bitmaps but they are derivations of these two fundamental parameters.
Bitmaps can be incorporated into vector based files easily once you understand how to properly edit bitmaps and how they will relate to your vector based objects. You can adjust transperancies of both bitmaps and vector based objects to create some truly unique, blended effects.
